Shannon from The Cole Mine chose me as as a Pay It Forward recipient earlier last month. For anyone not familiar with the Pay It Forward credendum, a person is bestowed an act of kindness and pays back that act of kindness to someone ELSE with the faith that we can make this world a better place one act of kindness at a time. Shannon, whom I'd like to start referring to as PRINCESS PRECIOUS, is sending me some handmade note cards. I did NOTHING to deserve this, mind you. I sat back and ate a fried burrito while humming the theme song to Wow Wow Wubbzy as I read her blog post about Paying It Forward. Then I commented something about how cool of an idea it was, and the next thing I know I'm getting an email that says keep your eyes open for some free stuff coming your way. Tell me, what could be cooler than that? Yeah, so maybe Matt Damon serving as my au pair trumps any and all other possible gifts out there. But I couldn't very well expect Princess Precious to fork out that kind of money for the PIF cause. And I hear he has kids of his own now, anyway. SO. I am presently making a mental note to post pics when my note cards arrive. Feel free to shun me if I forget. As for how I will pay it forward, I'm going to keep that under wraps, but I promise not to send anything that stinks, seeps, or sings showtunes. As for TO WHOM I will pay it forward...come out of the woodwork, quit lurking, and bless this post with your presence in the form of a comment. THEN. On February 15th, 8 pm Mountain Time, I will put your name in a hat and have Toni do the honors of drawing a winner. I will announce the winner the next day if all goes well. So only comment on this post if you are willing to give me your mailing address and receive a surprise SOMETHING. Bwaaaahaaahaahaahaaa. I'm sorry, Princess Precious, but I will have to exclude you in the event that you comment, as much as I'd like to pay you SOMETHING. But, alas, this is the Pay It Forward game.
Speaking of people who are precious and paying it forward, I was honored by Deana from Friday Night Fish Fry who voted my blog E for Excellent. I'm seriously blown over, considering what a spotty blog poster I've been lately. So, thank you, Deana. You're an angel among bloggers. Lastly, I've got a new post at Mile High Mamas. Actually, it's not new at all. It's from last week, but I failed to mention it because blogging was one of those guilty pleasures I couldn't afford at the time. Anyway, this post serves to answer that oh-so-compelling question of: Why would you NOT want to live anywhere near Catherine's area code?? Here's a clue -- it has nothing to do with Colorado, and everything to do with me.

and hey! one of my friends is moving back to colorado in a couple of months! that means i may be headed that way at some random point in the future. i've never really been to vacation there, but i've driven through the state a couple of times, and it is my favorite part of this country. (i've been through every state!)and did you know there's a cameo colorado? uh huh there is!
Well, merci and all that. Something that's so much fun to do, and to see others do, is a reward in itself.
